Welcome to the Women RISE Campaign!

Empowering women, breaking barriers, and creating systemic change—this is the vision behind the Women RISE Campaign. Launched in July 2024, this 24-month initiative by Bangladeshi-Canadian Community Services (BCS) is committed to advancing the economic security of racialized newcomer and immigrant women. This campaign is funded by Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE).

What We Aim to Achieve:
The Women RISE Project is more than just a program; it’s a movement to address and dismantle systemic barriers to employment for racialized women. By equipping women with the tools, skills, and platforms they need, we aim to foster transformative change in the workforce and beyond.

How We’ll Make a Difference:
Through innovative strategies and collective action, the Women RISE Project will:

  1. Empower Feminist Leaders: Training and mentoring racialized newcomer and immigrant women to become advocates for change.
  2. Mobilize Communities: Uniting women and their allies to identify and tackle employment inequalities.
  3. Raise Awareness: Developing impactful social media campaigns to shine a light on systemic barriers.
  4. Advocate for Policy Change: Engaging policymakers, employers, and community leaders in meaningful dialogue to drive legislative and workplace reforms.

Join us as we work together to build a future where every woman—regardless of her background—can thrive in a fair and equitable society. Together, we can rise, empower, and transform!
