About Women RISE

The Women RISE Campaign stands for Racialized Immigrant Women in Toronto East Rising for Economic Security and Prosperity. Funded by Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE) and led by Bangladeshi Canadian Community Services (BCS), the campaign aims to create systemic change that ensures the full participation of racialized newcomer and immigrant women in Canada’s economy.

The Women RISE project focuses on breaking down barriers to economic security and prosperity by addressing systemic discrimination, recognizing international qualifications, and providing mentoring for career advancement. With a primary goal of empowering women in Toronto East, especially those from Taylor Massey and Oakridge, Women RISE works to foster an inclusive society where women can thrive economically, socially, and politically.
